About Me

While I consider myself a Texan (at least for the time being), I was born in CA. I’m the oldest of three girls, my sisters names are Staci Rae (born 1980) and Candace Renee (born 1989). I have two brothers-in-law, Staci’s husband, Mark, and Candi’s husband, Tim and two nephews, Tyler and Jonathan belonging to Staci & Mark. My wonderful, supportive husband’s name is Matt and I wouldn’t trade him for a million dollars. I have no kids, nor do I want any… ever! Rather, I have a shih-tzu, Anakin, and a tabby cat, Galileo.
I am a writer who is moderately satisfied with her life. I’m an objectivist and a Liberal. I’m smart, artistic, bookish, rubenesque, and love my time alone. I enjoy philosophy and debating with my husband, who was a champion debater in high school. On religion I will say only this… don’t ask, it’s none of your business. I’m anti-establishment, that includes church, what I believe is between me and my soul and no one else. I have zero respect for those who try to push their faith on others. I abhor willful ignorance. Think, it won’t kill you… probably. I’m a fan all things eco-friendly, but am far from being an environmentalist –that has not always been the case; when I was 10 years old I wrote a letter to McDonalds asking them to stop using styrofoam. I really, really hate styrofoam! I like to consider myself open minded, I believe that love is love and everyone should have the right to get married. I can be a bitch, if you don’t believe me, ask my husband. I don’t change my mind easily, but I am willing to listen and consider what others have to say. I’m probably the least vain person on the planet. I used to say the same about being emotional, but not any more. I’m emotional, I admit it, but those emotions usually show themselves in anger or sarcasm. I don’t cry often, but when I do it’s usually pretty damn serious. I’m not a girly girl, but I do love pink. And purple for that matter. My childhood dream was to be an interior decorator, some day I may go after that dream, but not today. I love to shower, I’d do it three times a day if someone else would pay my water bill. I hate to travel, which is tough since I’m so far from my family. I’m probably the most cynical person I know and most people who know me would agree. Along with that, I’m an eternal pessimist. I’m obsessed with Vampires, though I have no idea when that happened. My husband calls me a closet Goth, which always makes me giggle a little and imagine myself in furs, even if those aren’t the Goths he meant. I collect dice, I should take pictures and post them here. I also collect lighthouses, which for me represent protection and guidance. I’m a girl and I enjoy 007 and Anime. I’m a Star Wars fanatic, though I wasn’t all that impressed with Episode 1.
There’s so much more to know, and it’ll come when the inspiration strikes! Or, y’all could ask.
No harm in that right?
